Panel discussion: Changing gears for CCUS in the Netherlands – moving forward with the goals of the new Dutch coalition government

What policy instruments should we consider to encourage the uptake of CCUS projects in the Netherlands?

o          How do we deal the diversity of industrial processes when designing policies?

Should a financial contribution from public funding be necessary (i.e. subsidy) for CCUS projects, what reasoning is suitable to justify subsidising CO2 emitters?

What role (if any), should a future Dutch CCUS R&D programme play in supporting the deployment of CCUS in the Netherlands towards 2030?

o          What key activities and topics are paramount?

Chaired by Tom Mikunda,
Energy policy consultant, TNO
