On Tuesday March 29th Klaas van Alphen was taking his doctoral degree. He succesfully defended his thesis called "Accelerating the development and deployment of carbon capture and storage technologies - An innovation system perspective". You can download his thesis here.

CATO program

   
The scientific research for this thesis was conducted within the CATO program and is centred around the question of how to accelerate the development and deployment of CCS technologies, using a multi-disciplinary research focus. The Innovation process is not only influenced by technological characteristics, but also by social economic environment in which a technology is developed and deployed is of great importance.
