8th CATO Day 20128th CATO Day 2012 - FOR MEMBERS ONLYFOR MEMBERS ONLY
On 21st June 2012 the 8th annual CATO Day will be held at Utrecht University.
This is the main CATO event where all CATO members get a chance to meet and catch up. The CATO day focuses on discussing scientific results within the CATO community. One month earlier, you are also very welcome to participate in the 6th National Symposium CCS (22 May 2012). The May symposium is public and aims mainly at policy makers, as opposed to the scientific and restricted nature of the CATO day. Also, the main language on 22 May is Dutch.
This year's CATO day will start with a public event in the morning. As part of the SURE week (sustainable innovation in the Utrecht region), members of the public are welcome to play the serious game CarbonFuture (9.30-12.00). After lunch, we will have a restricted meeting (CATO members only) that starts with a plenary meeting and then breaks up into subgroups presenting the highlights of CATO research (13.00-16.30). If the weather permits, the traditional CATO BBQ starts around 17.00 o'clock. And we will of course provide a big screen to watch the quarter finals of the European soccer championships, if the Dutch team comes second in group B.
We look forward to welcoming everyone.
